About UsHollywood Babylon is based on the infamous book by avant-garde filmmaker Kenneth Anger which details the sordid scandals of many famous and infamous Hollywood denizens from the 1900’s to the 1980’s. Originally published in French in 1959 by J.J. Pauvert (Paris, France) as Hollywood Babylon, the first U.S. edition of Hollywood Babylon was published in 1965, but it was banned ten days later and would not be republished in the US until 1975. In 1992, movie legend Tony Curtis, determined to tell the stories of many of Hollywood’s greatest stars who he knew personally, agreed to host Hollywood Babylon, the series. Curtis often spoke of his disappointment at never being awarded an Oscar, but In March 2006, he received the Sony Ericsson Empire Lifetime Achievement Award. He also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and received the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters) from France in 1995. Curtis appeared in more than sixty films including Some Like It Hot, Sex And The Single Girl, The Great Race, Spartacus, The Outsider and The Last Tycoon.
